Science · VL1 Joint Up

The science behind movement.

VL1 brings together a focused joint-support formula led by UC-II® undenatured type II collagen and Ovomet® eggshell membrane, alongside nutrients selected for connective tissue and bone-support nutrition.

Evidence first.

We separate human clinical evidence from supporting or preclinical research, show the studied doses, and link to the original published papers so you can read beyond the headline.

01 · Lead actives

Studied ingredients. Purposeful doses.

UC-II® and eggshell membrane have been evaluated in randomized controlled human trials. VL1 uses 40 mg of UC-II® and 300 mg of Ovomet® per serving—the same daily amounts used in several published studies of these ingredient categories.

Results vary by population, study design and outcome, so the evidence is best read as a body of research rather than a promise of a specific result for every person.

Human clinical research

UC-II® Undenatured Type II Collagen

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies in healthy adults with activity-related joint discomfort have evaluated 40 mg daily. Published trials reported improvements in selected knee range-of-motion and exercise-related joint outcomes.

40 mg per serving
What was measuredKnee flexion and extension, exercise-related joint discomfort, physical function and—in osteoarthritis studies—validated symptom scores.
Ovomet eggshell membrane ingredient
Human clinical research

Ovomet® Eggshell Membrane

Eggshell membrane has been studied in randomized controlled trials at 300 mg daily, with research examining joint comfort and daily function. Ovomet® is a branded eggshell membrane ingredient naturally containing structural components associated with connective tissue.

300 mg per serving
What was measuredJoint comfort, stiffness, daily-life function and physical performance outcomes in different study populations.

02 · How to read the evidence

What the studies actually tell us.

Good science is specific. A result in one population or outcome should not be stretched into a universal claim.

40 mgDaily UC-II® dose used in multiple randomized human studies, including research in active adults.
24 weeksDuration of a 2022 healthy-adult UC-II® trial that assessed knee range of motion.
300 mgDaily eggshell membrane dose used in a randomized 12-week human knee study.

04 · Supporting formula

More than two ingredients.

VL1 combines its lead actives with nutritional support for collagen formation, bones and a broader joint-focused routine.

Vitamin C

Contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage and bones.

Vitamin D3 + K2

Vitamin D and vitamin K contribute to the maintenance of normal bones; vitamin D also supports normal muscle function.

Calcium + Zinc

Calcium is needed for maintenance of normal bones, while zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis and bone maintenance.

MSM + Bromelain + Collagen Peptides

Included as supporting formula components. Research exists across these ingredient categories, but evidence strength and studied doses vary.
